Installing and Using ACE mod

Getting ACE (Advanced Combat Environment) mod up and running was not the most straight-forward of things. Really should have been, but isn't. Here's a quick guide:

1. Download and install the latest Six Updater for ArmA
2. Click on the "Six Updater - GUI" icon on your desktop
3. A command prompt will pop-up, do some stuff (leave it alone) and then open a web browser (you may need to refresh the browser as sometimes it isn't quite ready when it starts up)
4. In the web browser, click on "Main" in the top navigation
5. Ensure that "Please select a preset config" is set to "A.C.E. mod (Vanilla)"
6. Ensure that "Action" is set to "Install or Update, and Startgame"
7. Click "Execute"
8. ACE will now automatically update itself, progress shown in a new command prompt window
9. When (eventually) prompted, press "Enter" in the command prompt and ArmA2 will start automatically with ACE loaded

That should be it. Let me know if you're having trouble.

Just been having trouble doing an update of ACE. I've had something similar before. When that happens I uninstall Six-Updater and download the latest. Just FYI.

Hey, having issues installing ACE after my hard drive wipe. Keep getting 'No valid ArmA installation folder found, please abort' in the dos window when clicking execute. Have tried reinstalling the updater to no effect.
