Interesting article about male rights written by a woman.

So, this is something that has been a favourite discussive topic of mine for some time now and almost everyone who knows me will tell you that we have spoken about it.

I am referring to the way that rights seem to have squng around fully from the old days where men worked and women raised the family to now where all men are paedophiles who will rape you if you show as little as your forearsms and where women are allowed to physically harass a man but as soon as the man fights back, who is going to jail?

I found this interesting article through reddit this morning and was wondering how you all feel about this kind of thing?

It would be nice to get some female input on this as well so I am going to try and steer some of the wow ladies here.

Hey, :)

This is an issue that has, thus far, largely passed me by, personally. My wife and I, we have lives that are so far off the usual path that these generalizations are always going to miss the mark.

That said, the phenomena she describes in there is ultimately real. You can see it all over the place in entertainment, for instance. If a stand-up comedian bashes men, (s)he gets laughs and aplause. If that same comedian bashes women, the best (s)he can hope for is a silent room. The worst is a booing and a walk-out.

Personally, however, I tend to view these phenomena as a symptom, rahter than a root problem. They are, in my view, a symptom of the fact that today's overcrowded society is largely dehumanised, and that most people have neither the time nor the inclination to think about themselves, about how they feel about themselves, about what they want out of life, and other central issues.

There's more, lots more I might say on this, but I'd have to put together one of those major essays of mine, and it's just not going to happen, today. :)

Cheers,
J.

Interesting article. Of course it doesnt state anything we don't know already. The unequal favouring of women over child custody is particularly unfair, and we're starting to see the backlash against this with father's for justice etc.

Women want both chivalry AND equality. They can't have them both. Its not fair on us.
