I saw this app on the app store, and I was wondering if anyone uses it?

Read on one of the comments that you get the corehound pup with it, but can anyone clarify weither you do or not?

Thanks in advance,

Tried it once, before the core hound pup thing. Didn't put it on my account again after I couldn't log in for a week when my Ipod Touch broke. Dunno if you get the pup with it.

I can't speak for iPhone app as I haven't tried that particular one, but the mobile authenticator DOES work with I believe any phone that supports Java (e.g. my Nokia E71) even if it's not listed under the supported models on Blizz site. Just being able to run Java will do. And yes, after you pair your mobile authenticator with your battle.net account, you WILL get the Core Hound pup, even if you get the authenticator for free (like me). Win-win, really :)

To sum it up - it works, it is secure (although a bit less than the key-ring authenticator), you will get a core hound pup.

Yup I have the iphone app and you do get the pup. But the main thing is it makes you more secure.

Plus since it's free you don't have to pay anything extra for that :)

I used the iPhone App, never had any trouble with it.

Prob biggest problem would be if something happened to your phone/iPod, like what happened to Marqo.

You'd have the same concerns with the little keyfob thingy though - break it, you can't get into your account for a while.

I guess there is maybe more chance of things going wrong with your iphone than there is with a dedicated keyfob but still, at least while you cannot get into your account, you know no-one else is able to either
