the only reason us "Southerners" sometimes think that Irn-Bru is crap is because you can never actually buy the fooking stuff around here.

I can very rarely find the stuff, and do quite like it.

I was quite shocked to find that, when i visited a friend near glasgow 5 years ago we went to a mcdonalds and she had Irn-Bru with her meal!

If i'd have known they sold it i would have had that instead...

Alternatively, you could buy a large consignment of the amber nectar (probably the 500ml plastic bottle variety would be the most convenient) and then ship them off to the young lad yourself.

When I was over in California last year we went to the coast where they turned the Queen Mary into a hotel, and there was this tiny scottish heritage shop there. They had Irn-Bru and even Irn-Bru bars!

Not one single Scottish flag though....
