Issues with the signup process

Some people seem to be having issues with the forum signups - if this is the case, please let us know what issues you are having here. We are aware of some already but if you are still having issues then please re-iterate those issues here.

For those who are still having issues, I have updated the wiki tutorial we have on linking your WoW forum account with some troubleshooting items.

More specifically the "Step 2" section, which states the following*:

Scroll down until you find the World of Warcraft Characters section. This is shown by the red circle in the below image. The format for each character is shown there, it is a pipe-separated list of 4 parameters that are required to find the info about your character:
US/EU|Realm|Faction|Character
For this server with us, it will look something like the following (this can be copy/pasted if you like):
EU|Scarshield Legion|Horde|Charname
Simply replace "Charname" with the name of your character. You can repeat this on multiple lines for any of your alts should you wish to do so.
NOTE:

  • This is case sensitive. The Region, Server Name, Faction name and Character Name MUST be correctly capitalised where appropriate.
  • This is also sensitive to un-needed whitespace:
    • Make sure that there are no extra tabs or spaces at the beginning or end of any line.
    • Make sure that there are no spaces either side of any of the pipe characters. It may be more readable that way but the forum signup mod does NOT like them and the line you setup should appear exactly as in the above examples (but with your own character name, of course).
When you have finished entering the info you wish to include, scroll to the bottom of the page and locate the Save Changes button. Press it and your changes will be added to your profile.

If, after making sure that your profile field adheres to the above, you are still having problems, let us know and we'll see if there is anything we can do about it.

i know kirsty has been having problems with signing up ... She signs in to Thn as normal but when she goes to the events page there is no sign up box at the bottom of the page even though she is signed in for Thn... Any ideas?

Ok I just found "Firebuggy" in the members list, that has Dairyly and Firebugg set up in her profile but the last time she logged in with that account was 2 and a half months ago...

Bit of-topic here

But when I write something on the forum and I want for example add a picture, link or even change font type and size I just simply can not push the buttons.
They just seems to be .JPG or .GIF pictures...and oh yes, the smileys are also just "pictures" I can not press.

So to clarify. I can not add anything but text to the forum.

ok q-man i logged in with kirstys account and still no sign up box, i get a box saying please add chars. but they already are added :(
