[Tech] Joomla/MySql help

In Cryo Sleep
ok iv started playing around with joomla again,
but has been years since i have used it properly,
and schoolboy error, as soon as iv uploaded it and go to install the bugger it asks for my sites mysql database and user to work off...

and i have no idea what to do.. drawn a blank!
last time i used it it all fell into place and spent ages on the screens after the install setting up sites... mmm...

what is this database and where can i get one? :p

(ps. im on a shitty host with no controll pannel or anything)

Who is your host? What package do you have with them?

Answering those two questions will probably help us answer what you need to do.

Hmm, not much to learn from that except that they offer Linux and Windows hosting... you could give their support a call and ask them about details for mySQL?

Ronin didn't deem this worthy telling you at the moment, but I think I will, if only for clarification.

This MySQL database is a service that runs on the host's servers and allows you to use parts of it for storage of text/pictures/data. Hence, if you want to use it, the host company must have it running and provide the service. You can find out details about whether they provide this service and if they do how to access it by talking to them.
