Leaving

It is with regret that I have to tell you that I am leaving the guild. I have approached Dragon Lance with a view to becoming a Tank in their raiding events, and have been accepted.
Its become very obvious to myself recently that this is the only option I have, if I want to progress futher into the end game raids, ie Onyxia, MC, BWL, ZG + AQ.

This is a move I didnt want to make, and I will be leaving with a very heavy heart.

A new Guild leader is needed, and I propose Taresti for the job. He is more than equal to it.

I think befor any one else is appointed it would be best to think about making a non-level 60 the leader. There will allways be a point at which they want to move on and its not good for the guild having so many leadership changes!!

This may mean leving the guild in the hands of others but this may end up the case if we choose to or not as WoW is the type of game where eventualy people stop play together and just play when they can and I think we are getting that way with the core players from the site.

Its a sad way to go but like everything it wont last forever!!

I like having the guild around but I feel It would be best past on to the newer guys to carry the flame. This way us oldies can run off and retire when we want and call on each other as favors on a one off rather than set up a major group.

The question is " Do you feel happy letting none THN'ers carrying our flame?"

Twisto, I'll take up the mantle of guild leader then. Its doubtful I will be moving away from the haven any time soon. If you move on then so be it, maybe one day everyone will return.

As was discussed. If all the people returned that left the haven for greener pastures we would have a formidable force of a guild.

I'm thinking of creating a second character to start a priest for the haven. Will probably start that this week coming actually.

Well all the best with dragon lance Twisto, though I know its not good bye, just see ya around.

All the best, Twisto, you'll be missed.

On the guild leader front, I'm the same as Duren; I'll take up guild leadership if necessary, but I reckon Duren should have first dibs, having been with the Haven for longer.

Well i'm sure you'll begin to take a similar role to Secord with us... I have a feeling that things will change for the worst with The Haven now and people may have to go our own separate ways. We want to be able to start doing the End Game stuff ourselves, however we are having trouble recruiting suitable people because we are not yet doing it... bit of a catch 22 really.

I'm sure you'll be around ;)

Hehe... bow before Umbrator, your new guild master! *MUAHAHA*

But seriously, I was thinking the same thing as thatbloke on the hoping-you-take-the-same-role-as-Secord front.

On the recruiting front... I think I'm going to become a tad more aggressive in trying to grab high-level players from now on.

Just take a shiny epic, tie it to the back of an epic mount and set it running past him. He'll be so distracted that you can shoot/hack/magic him to death :P

Nah, I was thinking more role as in the fact that you're still around and often come to help out as if you were still part of the guild, when you're not raiding.

*ties an epic to a piece of string, and the piece of string to a long pole, then attaches the pole to secord's back*

chase the epic! go, chase it!

Shush you, you're probably far richer than I am (between cashing-up Lithy and my general high hunter/engi expenditures, I still only have 14G... grrr)

Just no healing for me instead as I currently owe Soulhaven 100G :D
