There isn't a thread for this? Well, anyway, the full trailer has leaked early and it's pretty damn cool. Any of you fools boycotting this or can we all have fun like non-stingey adults? :p

Pretty handy for Valve that IW are the new bastards, eh? :)

Then you can say I'm boycotting it too! Mainly because L4D doesn't interest me any more, and I never play it. Therefore I fail to see why I would buy L4D2. It's also why I never bought Crysis:Warhead. So nurr!

Well its more "refusing to buy it as a form of protest" rather than just going "meh, don't want it". and from some of BiG D's previous posts on the matter....

I don't personally see why the first game is broken though. Theres been people claiming that Valve promised things before it was released and they never happened, or they happened late. But i bought l4d after it was released anyway, and didn't know what valve had promised or whatever. I was happy to pay to buy it as it was at the time, and was happy with what I got and have been able to play. I havent seen any problems with it personally.

Theyre now doing a new version of the game with new levels, characters, features and suchlike, so why shouldn't I buy it? I can't expect to get updates for free all the time like the countless number of updates for tf2.

If buying L4D2 means that I can fucking chainsaw off zombies heads, then so be it!

I wasn't going to muck up this thread as well, but keep saying things like that and I'll have to.

Simply: Valve fucked up the launch and first few months of L4D. I see no reason to believe the sequel will be any different. I'll wait for the 50% off sale sometime next year.

Well I didnt start playing l4d as soon as it was released so might have missed something major here, so if they fuck me over, then itll be the first time and maybe I'll be more hesitant next time, but in my experience of valvey games, I've never had a problem.

You quoted me from the other thread where I've already been over this, so just go read it there. :p It was mid April until versus had the major bugs, exploits and balance issues ironed out.

Anyone up for trying out the l4d2 demo (inb4 'hurrrrr. its not a demo') later on today? As I never got around to trying it out last night due to lack of food and annoying girlfriends, I thought I'd give it a go.

Just been doing a bit of wikipedia poking:

That made me laugh.

I also love the way that the UK version of the cover art is modified so the fingers are pointing the opposite direction, so that its not just a rude hand gesture

And "<some eejit> considered that several of the infected "appear to be African-Americans" implying a racist approach to the game". So its racist if "african americans" are included, and if they were all discluded.... then.... that would be racial discrimintaion still? You just can't win!
