That trailer looks quite nice. :)

Reminds me a bit of a lego tabletop wargame I found a while ago (brik wars). If they keep the customisability wide open, this might just be a hit with a lot of audiences. Come on, who didn't have lots of fun with lego as a kid?

Yeah i'm with wol on this one, whats being a kid got to do with it. I had a lego advent calendar this year and it was truly awsome!

And he was mega protective over it. Apparently a lamppost isnt allowed to be in the middle of a picture of a lake printed on cardboard :p

He's got a point, but I havent had a proper playmat (yea, shush) for a while , so didn't notice it ;-)

That was one cool trailer, though my heart sank when i read Who knew that a kid-friendly MMO" Wow is kid friendly, its the kids themselves(and some **** adults) that make it unfriendly.

As a kid?! Dude! Stop with the age restrictions on lego :p

as an aside: tell me you wouldn't want to go there :-D

I love lego, incidentally do you feel the same about duplo?

duplo isnt quite as good as it doesn't have quite the flexibility (imagination, not physical) of lego. As bricks, theyre kinda satisfying. Whats more satisfying is that they do acually scale correctly so you can use both duplo and lego (as far as i remember). but you just dont have the funky little bits, like hinges, and axles, and GEARS! its all about the gears! :)

I propose the first church of lego!

'And thou shall search for thy inner schematic in the box of life!'
'Judge not your brothers and sisters to be different as all parts are interchangable!'
'Shape your life to be ever dynamic and with limitless potential only then have you attained the lego state!'

I'm very much in favour of all of this lego talk .

It makes me want to go to Kent and steal all my lego off my cousins.

In the beginning there was a base plate, but it was bare and void of all life and covered in darkness until the lego god opened the toy box lid and let the light flood in o'er the base plate.

And the lego god said "hm. This looks a bit boring" and created a minifig and called it 'man'

and created an idential minifig, just with a slightly different hair piece, and called it 'woman'.

And then god placed upon the baseplate many a plant, in both prickly

and flowery

forms.

etc. etc. I'm finding it a pain to find the pics on bricklink.com :p

As long as noone calls it 'legos' we'll be fine. Idiot yanks. The plural of lego is still lego.

From LEGO....
• I want you to ask the Lego gang for the definitive answer on the plural for Lego bricks. Is it, as we Brits say, simply Lego, or is it, as some Americans insist, Legos?
Actually both the Brits and the Americans are wrong—but are all forgiven! “Lego” is an adjective and is not meant to be a standalone name. It should always be Lego bricks, Lego building, Lego products, etc.
And some random fun facts

•How many Lego bricks are produced each year?

Approximately 19 billion Lego elements are produced per year. 2.16 million are molded every hour, 36,000 every minute.

• Approximately, how many bricks they've ever made since Lego started to produce them?
More than 400 billion Lego bricks have been produced since 1958. There are about 62 Lego bricks per person of the Earth’s population.

And some random fun facts

Lego is the worlds largest manufacturer of tyres.

If you have a look around on gizmodo theres a few things on lego with some more funky facts in. The tolerances to which the parts are moulded is bitchingly accurate.
