Liquid Armour!

As most of you know, soldiers in Iraq are given Kevlar body armour. This gives some protection, but doesn't protect all areas, like the legs or the arms.

Problem solved!

That is actually really impressive! I like the lab videos of the bullets "bouncing" off the armour, but I bet it still hurts a s*** load if you get hit - like paintballing, but at super-sonic speeds!

Still, nice vid.

Link gives an error for me, so i can't view the vid, but bouncing bullets are impressive. The more they bounce, the less momentum transfer on the target. I would expect liquid is really good at dispersing the shock also.

I have a dream, that one day bullets won't kill anymore. :)

Lol at the dream.

And as you can't see the vid, some clever people have made a liquid crystal that you coat kevlar in. When a high velocity impact occurs (ie, stabs or shottings), the crystals form a very rigid structure, that helps to remove the kinetic energy. Or, at least, thats it in a very small nutshell :)

Good video, I think we should place bets at how longit will take to invent a liquid piercing bullet
