Logitech have gotten some good press for their 'great' products. I myself own 2 logitech products:
A Keyboard
and a headset

However, in my opinion, Logitech products are Grade A crap!

Today, whilst playing BF2, and getting a getting a headshot against Piacular, I went to taunt him, and I got no reply, because my f*cking sound was broken, I llater found out it was my speakers on my headset, everytime I look to my right, the sound goes off. Sure, this could be one faulty product, I doubt that though, I've had 5 of these bloody headsets, 5!. 1st the Microphone broke, the second one the microphone broke, 3rd one didn't even work to begin with, 4th just messed up altogether.

As for the keyboard, how much maintainence does this need! I've never had to clean this so much, the keys stick so easily and require you to dismantle the damn thing and clean it.

Anyone else use Logitech products? What do you think of them?

I like the Logitech webcams, but the best keyboard, I find, is a nice simple "clean" one. That is till the Optimus keyboard comes out, and then I'm tempted by it just for pure "OMG" value :D

The Razor Copperback mouse is also great. I have one, and it works like a dream!

i think it may be a fault with bf2 actual cos my headset has been doing exactly the same as yours when u turn you head, maybe bf2 is sending out some speaker breaking sounds, or maybe its that eax stuff. (dont worry im mad)

yeah i am going to be getting one of them optimus keyboards they are sweet. the one thats out in may is 100 and thats only 3 keys. hope that £33.30 isnt the price per key, cos that could add up to some big bucks.

They're fine for mice and keyboards, anything else is not really their core business. Especially not the software that comes with their products....

I shudder at the thought of desktop speakers anyway, one cable and your comp's on a full sized amp.

As for headsets, the traditional headphone manufacturers have an edge here, because that's what a headset resembles most closely. I got a Sennheiser PC-150 after hearing Haven had the clearest voice of everyone on Natural Selection and asking him what he used. It wasn't cheap but i got it for a while now and it's been through some abuse, but still performs like on day 1. Downside is it doesn't come cheap and it isn't sold in all PC stores, i had to get mine online.

My headset is a cheapo headset i bought in Pounland (hence it cost me £1). I have had it for like 2 months now and the mic seems to work perfectly fine unless you guys are humouring me on TS, and I just have the sound come out of my soundsystem as usual anyway

Hey, I have a Sennheiser too! Though I'm not sure it's a PC-150, doesn't say on the set.

Got it off Play.com with BF2, works a treat. Only cost £20 too :).

The Optimus keyboard doesn’t look particularly ergonomic, think I'll stick with my clunky £10 Logitech keyboard :).

I've got one of those Microsoft laser mice with the backward and forward buttons on the side (so handy for BF2 binds :)), I've had it for 6 years and it hasn't let me down yet! Dread to think how many roller-balls I'd have got through in that time .

Oh, and elDiablo your link is busted :p.

EDIT

It's because I'm not a member :p

EDIT II

It's the second one PestControl :)

Piacular, is it one of these two: http://www.dansdata.com/s140150.htm or http://www.dansdata.com/quickshot022.htm ?
I paid a hefty 60 euros for mine, that's 40-ish pounds i think, but i've seen it for half that amount in US webstores. :S

elDiablo: It's bust for me, too

Regarding the Optimus keyboard, let me quote myself from another forum:

The Optimus keyboard has had an air of vaporware to me, just like the Phantom console.

Awesome product, i'll believe it when i see it. :)

Remember it's a product with 200 oled screens, and 200 oled screen controllers, all of them connected with flexible wire that doesnt fail after a million presses.

For such a price? Too good to be true, is my personal verdict for now.
The price was rumored to be 100 pounds, the earliest photos of it were renders to attract investors (according to the inventor) and as far as im aware nobody's done a hands-on preview yet. Later shots may have been a real prototype, i haven't followed it closely.

Ok, hosted it on my uni web space. Its likely to get removed if I need space, but it'll be there for the next few days at least!

If you still can't see it, there is something wrong with you!

I got myself a headset from Game, for a fiver. It's one of those that fits in one ear and the mic extends from there, like a call-centre worker or, er... Britney Spears. Ahem.

It's worked fine for me, not bad quality for listening and recording, although there is the obvious downside of it being a mono device (since it fits in one ear only) but this was a sacrifice that I was prepared to make since it would (and does) give an advantage of being able to listen to what's happening around you out of the other ear. (Good for LAN gaming!)

As for Logitech, I've not had any complaints with any of their stuff... had an optical mouse from them for some time now and never had any problems with it.
