all i want is a good clean version of the original cut, the best we have at the moment is a 4:3 letterbox Laserdisk rip [noparse]:mad:[/noparse]

Lucas can go fuck himself on the 3D tbh

Well look at it this way - if he plans on doing all 6 films, they'll be spread out over a number of years so we can but but hope for a stroke or heart attack for the douche-bag and his estate being passed over to someone with more sense and artistic integrity.

What? There are only three star wars films.

There were rumours of a set of prequels being produced, with terrible scripts and wooden actors on the shortlist to be cast, but luckily someone decided to pull the plug before a travesty occurred. It was probably the same person that nixed the hypothesised matrix sequels.

yeah that's what the gold ones include, but it's a straight rip from laserdisk so it's 4:3 letterbox and apparently not great quality, but better than nothing. looking at getting Empire as that's my favourite and seeing what i can do myself cleaning and ripping it.

Don't you just wish someone would rip one of the old and original film prints that would have been distributed to the various TV stations with the broadcasting rights? (I still have a VHS rip of the original version of Jedi from ITV somewhere.) I'm betting this is the only way you'd ever get to see the original versions again in good quality since Lucas obviously hates them so much.

The man must be stopped. Surely he already has enough money which would suggest that he actually thinks this is a good idea that demonstrates once again that the man is bat shit insane.
