Master Armorer

It's been mighty quiet in here, I see Ronin's point about being pressurized into making groups and then they end up very lonely groups indeed.

Anyway, my problem is - getting Master Armorer training. Before anyone suggests looking up Gamefaqs, I've done that already. Basically, what you have to do to find get the Master training is read a book called 'The Armorers Challenge' which can allegedly be purchased from First Edition bookstore in the Imperial City Market District, talk to Gin-Wulm who lives in 'The Best Defense', also in the Market Dist., and then answer the question correctly. Now, here's my problem - First Edition don't stock 'The Armorer's Challenge'. Without it, I can't give Gin-Wulm the answer he needs to begin training.

Are there any other bookstores with the book? Is this a glitch?

I've heard that it can be found lying around the Fighters Guild in Cheydinhal. Try there.

Alternatively, if you're using the PC version, you could use the console (open by pressing the ` button (left of 1)). The code is:
player.additem_000243D9_1 (the underscores represent a space).
If you're worried about that being cheating, simply find out the base price of the book, multiply that by what you'd pay at First Edition, and dump that much money in an Oblivion Gate before you close it.

Thanks, but I never did find it I reckon I've probably bought it, and then thrown it away carelessly without reading it and now I can't remember where I dropped it! No matter, I made a new mage character now anyway and I can buy it out the shop with him so all is right.

If you want to give it another try, I've just checked the exact location in the Cheydinhal Fighters Guild.

If you go in the main entrance and turn left, you'll see a set of stairs. Go up the stairs and do a 180 degree turn. You'll see a table in front of you, a door on the left and some shelves on the right (behind the stairs).

The book is on top of the shelves and can be quite hard to see from the wrong angle.

Make sure that you have it in your inventory when you go for the training the first time, as the conversation option won't appear otherwise.
