Microsoft Word Please!

Hey, counting the numerous times I've had to reformat, I've lost Microsoft Word and can't get my hands on it. Since I'm doing GCSE ICT this year, I'll most likely need to use it, because that's what we're using in school and there's no point using two different pieces of software.

So, if anyone can get me a copy, preferably legal, though I ain't pushed where you get it. Rep for who get's it!

Thanks!

P.S: Word 2003, and other Microsoft things (Excel, PP) would be nice!

If you're going to post a reply to this request publically, please make sure your avenue of acquisition is legal. Thanks. :)

Check out OpenOffice. It's a full suite of FREE (open source) office applications that are Microsoft office compatible... I use it, there is also a linux version if that so interests you aswell...

I used that, but I want Microsoft word, because that's what we use in school, and anything I'm taught there, I can't use in Open Office.

OpenOffice is exactly the same in MS office in its workings... a few things are incompatible but that is only the complex and very rarely used stuff. Your School should make provisions for the fact that everyone may not have MS office at home and may well use other alternatives. Open office can save into an MS office compatible format so all work you do at home you will be able to use in School also.

I personally have had no problems going from one to the other and back again.

Haven (as a Linux user) would also be one to talk to as he uses OpenOffice due to the fact he is mainly a Linux user.

I really am not seeing how you are going to be able to get a legal version of MS office without either paying for it or getting it from your school. My University had a deal with Microsoft where we could download and use all of their software (such as Office) for free while we were at Uni. It is possible your school may have some similar arrangement.

Am agreeing with thatbloke on this one, only big difference between the 2 is that open office has no microsoft cartoon like help section, i personlally like this.
get it tis just as good as msoffice.
If u must have MS then aproach ur school IT techs in a chummy way, and ask to borrow the schools copy which will have an uber licencse moer than likely covering the likes of you, i would advise going bearing coffee, as nothing soothes the heart of a overworked school tech/admin like a good cuppa java.

Hey Nanor don't worry, I'm in the year above you and have taken ICT, my school recommended getting OpenOffice as many people didn't have Word so it shouldn't be a problem.
