Minecraft hub: Build rights

I understand locking the hub down as it's all shiney. But why lock down "trusted" community members who have been here on the forums years and you know, helped build the aformentioned shiney hub? I'm hardly going to do any damage, and the issue with lock down is I can't even place minecarts to use the rollercoaster I built.

Well if there's a way to just let me place minecarts that's good enough, I don't care about build as I don't need to build.

It was disabled while we (admins) worked out how to enable it so that you can interact with the hub world without being able to break the creations that THN are responsible for on the opening night ceremony :)

Someone else may have a more lengthy answer but currently that's the reason.

Also Silk, you can post this in the minecraft group rather than Hey Admins as it's less to do with the forums and more just minecraft related :D

I've just had a look and theres already a minecart in that rollercoaster bit, so you shouldn't need to place it.

In the longer term, as a more generic point, when we get the spleefyness sorted, then we can look into giving some people build access to the hub, but its meant to be an archive from the initial build night, so no new builds after that first night should be in there.

You have two infinite worlds to build stuff in. You shouldn't need a third tiny world :p

If I modded anything it would only be the house I built, and even then only internally such as erecting a picture. Sheesh a little trust? :p

Anyway I didn't see a cart. I'll look again.

Oooo found the cart, it's there but bugged. If one of you can fix it that'd be cool. Pref start point at the sign by start of mah house.

In the creative world you should have build rights and not see this. In the hub world, you will see some warnings pop up if you walk over pressue plates.

When you say "in creative" do you actually mean "in the hub world in creative mode" , not "in the creative world"?
