My mouse is constantly loosing connection to my Laptop. It works, then suddenly the USB stops working, then works again 1 or 2 seconds later. Halp?

mmmm usb problems. Sounds like my day to day work :S

Do you have a powered usb hub you can try it through? Connections dropping in / out like that over usb is usually down to usb power problems when I've come across them.

er.... pass :S

I'm guessing that this mouse has worked fine previously with said laptop. Double check that the power isnt doing any stupid power saving modes. Try the mouse in a different pc / try a different mouse in the laptop and try and narrow down which has the problem I'd say first.

Yeah, just to add a note in support of Wol's thoughts: sounds like power issues, possibly power saving on the USB ports. I imagine, from the way you post, that this is an issue that happens while you're using your computer?

Are you using a wireless mouse?

Could be the connection in the mouse itself is getting dodgy. My brother had this problem with his old mouse, where he'd have to keep pushing the wire into the mouse to make the connection work. Presumably it's because of the abuse he gave it flinging it across his desk playing CoD, so the wire got pulled out some.

It's happening again. It's getting me -REALLY- pissed off, I'm debating getting a new mouse to see if it helps. Oppinions on how I could fix it, to save monies?

that mouse is rather new, isn't it? I suggest you contact Logitech - they should replace it

It's about 8 months old now. Not worth the hassle, already got a RAZER one, that seems rather good IMO. Doesn't have that pointless button behind the wheel that controls the wheel lock, thing.

It really is, if you report a fault to logitech they will send you a replacement. Even if you don't need it now you can get a new one to sell in it's packaging. That's £30 at least for very little effort on your part.

Also the logitech switch between ratchet and smooth scrolling is one of the greatest things I've ever had on a mouse.
