So, liked Darwinia? How about Multiwinia? The next game from Introversion. Well, the evolution of Darwinia really. In multiplayer. Fabulous!

The lead developer is John Knottenbelt, another one of the directors who was originally in charge of the linux version of Uplink. This leaves Chris Delay the chance to carry on with other projects. Good times!

IV shit out games. :/

They're not bad games, but IMO they're not great. If they spent a good while on it, then they would rule the world.. or at least have a decent competitor to EA. Although, EA will buy them out..

Erm... Uplink took 4 years while Chris was at Uni. The "founders" meet in 1997, and Uplink was released in 2001. Darwinia was worked on from about 2002 until it was released in 2005, 3 years worth of work. In September 2006, Defcon was released, and it was only that quick because Chris spent a mad few days non-stop coding most of it using the multiplayer code from Darwinia (which is now forming Multiwinia).

Multiwinia is only going to be released next year because the multiplayer code is mostly there, just not in (complete) use. You can see this by opening the preferences.txt and seeing the lines that mention "IAmServer = 1" and stuff.

Still, I understand what you are saying about the games not being "great". Their games are very much an acquired taste ;)
