Hey guys,

Today I took a long look at the past year and what I'd accomplished. You know, the evaluation of a year and what you are going to do in the next.
I was a bit shocked at what I had planned and how much didn't play out. Most of my acomplishments weren't tied to furthering my life. A lot of them were in WoW.

Lately I've been feeling like I play this game too much and I can't figure out for what reason. The shortterm gratification must play a big part in it.

To get to the point; I have cancelled my subscription and won't be back for at least a few months. I feel like I have to commit to my RL obligations and I've learned from the past that "just cutting back" on WoW, isn't working for me.

I want to thank you for the oppurtunity you gave me when I joined the guild and all the great moments we've had in the short time I've been with you.

PS: To the officers: It's probably best to remove Lilaque, Lilarch, Silvarté and Takatiki from the guild since I don't know if or when I'll be back. If that day ever comes I will reapply

Aww, shamez... But it's always nice to see someone get proactive with their own life, so kudos to you!

I don't know about all your alts, but I'll see about sticking Lilaque on Away, rather than outright kicking, so as you have a place to come back to in a "few months", if ever...

In any case, do quit WoW but not THN, meaning, drop back in from time to time, if only to say o-hai.

I'll knock all your chars down to "alt" for now; you've applied to the guild, got a place and earned the right to keep that place. If/when you come back, I can put you back up again and you'll be as welcome as ever; we don't remove good people just for going absent a while, especially if it's with warning/notice like this!

And as Zooggy said, THN is not just The Haven on WoW; stick around and chat, maybe. See if there's other, less time-consuming games that you can play with the community as a whole ^_^

And as an outsider in no way picking a fight, I do wonder if, since Lilaque has clearly thought carefully about his decision, it wouldn't be best to respect his request to be removed ... no point leaving the heroin on the table if someone's trying to go cold turkey!

He said he might be back in a few months, and said "it might be best" to remove the characters, not a request to remove the characters from the guild. No harm to him, no harm to the guild. I've demoted the characters to the Away rank as is standard.
