So my G5 has seen its last few days =( buttons are sticking and cable is coming apart. =(

I am a big fan of logitech and did love the g5 and tbh looking for a mouse with the simular shape and options, I like being able to adjust the sensitivity on the fly... very useful for when you jump into a tank in bfbc2 ;) also I make allot of use of the two thumb buttons.

Really looking for a mouse with those things and maybe an additional button on the right ? dunno, depends what's out there really (oh I dont care too much about the weights)

So any susgestions? Was looking at the G500 but dont like the look the thumb buttons. also looking at the G9 but the shape doesn't look too comfortable

Anyone have either of these two mice?

Cheers =)

The G9 doesn't sit right and if you have used and enjoyed a G5 I don't think you'll get along with it. I have used a G500 for about an hour and as a massive fan of my G5 (which I got when this lot of G5s was first released and am still loving) I have to say I actually slightly prefer it to the G5. The side buttons feel much nicer in action than they look.

Having not been to a LAN since November if any of the big guns have released anything since then I've not had a chance to properly play. But the G500 will be the next mouse I get if my beloved G5 ever dies.

I love my G5 =) I have tape holding the cord together, and recently noticed the cord coming undone at the usb end =( and now a couple of days ago the front thumb button sticks.. :(

might just try taking it apart and see if i can get it working :/

I has one of these

You can make the LEDs go any colour you like! (incliding purple). You can even program themto follow a specific pattern. I have it on random so every couple of seconds the colours of my mouse change :D

If you're looking at your mouse for colour changing glee, you need to get a better monitor as it's obviously so hideously boring that you've resorted to looking at your mouse..... a peripheral which is usually COVERED BY YOUR HAND!
