New BF2 Patch

Got a small shock yesterday when XFire started downloading for me a 1.41 patch for bf2. Still can't find patch notes, however the one statement that is on teh website accompanying the announcement is that there is NO INCREMENTAL PATCH.

This means a 523.4MB download for each and every one of us...

Found some patch notes.....

If my dang computer would let me do anything I would post them.....

Basically 6Mb is what they have added to the patch the rest is what we have seen before.

All the patch does is "supposedly" stop crashes.

The annoying thing is that there is no incremental patch...

but if they are stopping crashes then this may mean that there are fixes for all patch levels...

BUG FIX

- Fixed an extremely intermittent server crash bug.

That is all that gets put into the readme file.

I had to download a file of over half a gigabyte for that one fucking line in the changelog...

And there is NO incremental patch available.

Also I wouldn't call everly third game "extremely intermittent."

I have made a zip file of the files that EA Link downloaded for me (which should work for any system) so If there is somewhere fast I can put it (if needed) then I am willing to do so...

EDIT: apparently there is an incremental patch, but it is currently "broken." However instead of delaying the whole patch release they have released the full patch so people can still get the patch. I guess the incremental will follow as soon as it is fixed...

Full patches are best if you usualy reinstall things alot.

I prefer incrememtal, because then I can just uninstall, and go back to a previous version without having to download ANOTHER patch, if I don't like the new patch... Bleh!
