New League and L1 feedback.

Myself, Ghostwolf and Ronin are hoping to set up another league to start near the end of november/start of december. This will allow for me to finish my field season, and ronin to sort out living arragements.

Some certainties (or almost):

You will not have to have purchased Legendary Edition to take part.

We will all be starting with new TV 1000 teams.

We would like as varied a set of races as possible. Though no one will be pressured into playing as something they don't want to, if 8 people want to play as dwarves, we will put our foot down.

Ideally we want to have a league where everyone plays everyone else. This will result in a longer league. Consequently, we will probably have an extended break across Christmas.

Although this will be a slightly more serious league than the previous, it is still a fun league. Quitters and spoilsports are frowned upon. The time investment will be relatively high, and relatively regular. If you don't think you can manage it, don't take part. However, the increased relative length of the season implies that missing the odd game would not have as much of an impact as in the previous league. There will be leeway.

If there is cross compatibility between Legendary Edition and Dark Elf Ed, we will probably attempt to incorporate LE for racial variety.

We will almost certainly have to use cyanide's league management system.

These things aside, please post any feedback from the previous league (yes, yes, I know, it feels like AEONS ago since bob blocked his way to the inaugural THN title). We'll attempt to take it on board.

This might as well start as an initial interest sign up thread, though an official one will appear on the main forum nearer to the time.

Ill be up for it if LE teams are included, i've grown a lil bored of vanilla teams.

There are plenty of the DE ed teams I have yet to master, but I agree, LE would add a lot of variety.

I'm currently messing around wih a necromantic team at the moment. The zombies do the thriller dance when they score.

Clearly I'm in either way. It's fairly likely I'll choose Humans this time 'round.

I think the style of league we'll use, in Cyanide's terms, is actually a Cup, which has a league-style season followed by a semi-final and a final for the top 4 teams. That's what we'd intended, really, from the original but their league design is intensely opaque and completely undocumented.

I'm defo in.

Will need to look at other races. I love the dwarves but they are really the only aspect of the game I have ventured into. I have lucked my way into one title so will be fun making tactics for a differing play style.

I'm actually terrible at this game so look forward to some high scoring encounters as I fail entirely to stop you.

Just delved into the archives to find that one by bob.

I think that needs to be a sig, in order to contrast with his custom title...

Count me in, I likely won't buy the LE but I'd have no issues if people wanted to use LE teams to play.

I suspect I'll stick with my gobbos :) Nice and unpredicatable!

Can we either add a poll to this thread or start a new thread so we can get an idea of 1) who has DE edition 2) who has LE edition 3) who plans on getting DE edition 4) who plans on getting LE edition.
