I can actually see this being built from one of my back bedroom windows, and its a bloody monster.
It will contain all the usual hotel and office space things, but also a Sky Bar will be about 2 floors from the top.
I hope that doesnt give a new meaning to the phrase being hung over.

Hmm, did it say 171 meters? That'ts not really that much. I've seen the tall buildings of Canary wharf in London, but i really wasn't that impressed tbh.
Buildings have to be over 400 meters to really be exceptional these days.
And then they're building a 705 metre (!!!!!!) tall one in Dubai and higher buildings are planned, i wouldnt be surprised if 30 years from now the tallest structure is over 1000m high. Imagine that as a view from your window.

Heh, people have married in far stranger places.
Heights? Can't get enough of them. The eiffel tower is still awesome because you can look down through the metal frame.

speaking of tall buildings... this waste of space was finished last year in Portsmouth, very near where I am from. This was only opened to the public last year, after originally being a milennium project, and cost a shitload of money that could have been spent elsewhere...
The icing in the cake was hearing that on its first day, the first trip up the lift was taken by all the project leaders and people, and the lift broke down halfway up
