New Race/Class Combinations

Corenith

In Cryo Sleep
In the Patch 3.2.2 PTR files, a number of new race/class combination NPCs were discovered. The data mined from MMO-Champion seems to indicate that several races will have the ability to roll classes previously unavailable to them. However, it is only speculation that these combinations will be playable, but with the addition of the class-related quests with each additional patch, it seems quite likely.....

* Human Hunter
* Orc Mage
* Night Elf Mage
* Blood Elf Warrior
* Dwarf Shaman
* Dwarf Mage
* Undead Hunter
* Tauren Paladin
* Tauren Priest
* Gnome Priest
* Troll Druid

It's derived from some tooltips they found on the test realms, which could apply to NPCs as well as to players.

And, y'know... they could be putting stuff in to mess with people, since they know that everything is immediately datamined...

DO WANT them, Belf warriors have always been a small dream of mine. Just like troll druids and tauren paladin, the only thing we are missing here, is the Tauren Rogue!

So, perhaps for a new thread, but what's the most outrageous class/race combo you can think of?

TBH I can't imagine an Orc Paladin. That just seems..... so very very wrong

Undead Paladin ... "I exorcise thy evil and ban it from these rotten lands!" ... "Oh ... crap .... WAIIIIIT" *fwooosh* and a pile of dust remains, alongside a shiny paladin armor ...

The forsaken are one of the biggest mysteries of wow lore for me personally.

For whatever reason certain members of the scourge / undead found themselves free of the lich King's grasp or "sentient" if you were. They were gathered together by Sylvanas in the Undercity.

What is it that makes them different from the masses of undead? Could it be that they retained their soul after death?

And if so, is it that far fetched that they could serve the light, especially when they can be priests? If a paladin dies and returns as a forsaken, would he forget all his teachings and lose his faith? Lets not also forget that they are not classed as undead.. they do not suffer double damage from holy and turn evil does not work.

The forsaken should be the most diverse race there is, because technically they could have been any class and race in their former life.

That said, it always surprised me that you couldn't pick "prior race" when picking forsaken, because it doens't make any sense that they are all humanoids (suggesting that only humans got the plague, which is not true). So you should be able to be a forsaken dwarf, for example.

Anyway I also vote for tauren rogue as the most ridiculous, though, I would love to play it just for laughs :)

That's exactly it; when the Lich King's grasp on them was broken (his power is seriously dented for a while by an assault on the Frozen Throne in the Warcraft III expansion of the same name), they got their free will and their souls back, and became as close to alive again as is possible for the undead.

This is why there should be Forsaken Hunters, at the very least... and to be honest, there should be Human hunters as well. And if they can already be Holy Priests, why not Paladins? Also... *points at the Undead Paladins on that island in Hillsbrad* ...if they can do it, why can't we? *grumble*

But... but... they'd be so sneaky!

Did you ever get to see Ragingbone in his full Tauren Ninja outfit? He wore it when we assaulted Ironforge at Christmas-ish time a couple of years back. It was the Tauren Ninja and the two Christmas Elves charged in merrily...
