New Year's Resolutions.

My first new year's resolution is 1680x1050.

My second is to get rid of the extra weight I've put on over the past year and get my waist size back down to 32 from its 34-36 currently.

I don't really believe in New Year's resolutions, for myself, as I find that I make so many changes through a year that such a resolution wouldn't really survive contact with reality. Instead, though, I'm currently working on a plan to figure out what would be better than contract software development in the business-to-business industry, so I'm teaching myself C++ with an eye to seeing whether I'd be interested in going into professional games development. Probably less money but I'd trade cash for fun any day.

heh, C++ is nice and easy once you understand the concept of pointers. get that under your belt and the rest of it is (essentially) the same as most other modern OO languages.

A little OT, but I understand that many of them are derived originally from C, so the fact that I've done C# and some PHP is making some of the more basic C++ really very easy.
