No evidence that games cause violence

According to a news article posted on Eurogamer, there's a lack of evidence connecting video game violence to real world violence.

The BBFC has accepted there is no proven link between anti-social behaviour and violent videogames - but said more research is required to conclusively rule any connection out.

Well we've known this for a long time. The only reason videogames get blamed is because it is in our culture that should something bad happen, someone or something has to be held accountable for it. Videogames are the "new kid on the block" and so they get the blame sent their way.
