Non invasion event possibility?

I enjoy invasion and all, but has anyone considered bombing run, assault or CTF events?

Double Domination is the ut2003/4 domination gametype. There are two points, you have to hold both for.. 10 sec i think it was, to score a point.

If we're going to play anything i think we should stick to one gametype for the event. My preference would be Assault, but i don't think there will be enough interest for competetive player versus player events.

If we're gonna do assault, would we be using custom maps, or the default six that came with UT2k4? I've got some decent user-made assault maps on my compy, but I can't remember where I got them from.

Well how about a cycle of: official followed by any usermades under 25meg,

The assault maps only take 20 minutes(per map) for 2 rounds roughly.

I can see this working out

UT99 ftw... guaranteed to work on your system and the game speed is nice and fast... instagib on ctf_face... pure bliss. Oh, and the original Assault mode is genius.

I can host possibly if someone tells me how, may have nasty router problems tho, secondly ASSAULT RACING MAPS!!!

I reckon I will be able to host games on an occassional basis - my machine is fast enough in terms of processing to deal with the game and I'm now on a 4MB broadband package... I will investigate if I can get you lot past the firewalls et all I have lying in wait for wily intruders.
