Ok, so I stole the idea from T-bone.

The song is classical, Piacular said it was by Mozart or Bach. It was the theme tune of the show Ballet Hoo! on channel 4. It sounds as though it's played on violin although I may be wrong. Also, it's been featured in one of the Simpsons episodes when all the soviet troops start marching down the street, vague I know, but I hope it helps.

errrrr i know beethovens fifth is used a fair bit in the simpsons, however i don't think they'd use it for a tv ballet show. but hey i dunno
could also be Symphony No. 7 which is slightly more ballet like and has actually been used in ballet performances.
