Ohmy Angelic - The Guide

I'm writing this post to avoid any kind of confusion and rotten feelings on the part of both raiders and raid leaders.

Ohmy hit the magical 80 yesterday and with that I would like to start raiding with her. As such she is my preferred raiding main.

However I realize what our guild's situation healer-wise is and I know that Angelic will probably be needed quite often in the near forseeable future. Also I'll usually (!) rather raid on her than not raid at all.

For raid leaders: I'll specify in my event sign-ups which character I would prefer to bring and it will most usually be Ohmy. Unless we are short on healers, consider her my priority. IF it would mean I would miss out on the raid and the raid composition would be in danger (lack of healers and surplus of ranged dps), I'll be happy to come with Angelic.

If anyone has any further information to this topic, please post it. I'm also not sure what would happen to my looting rights.

It's not that complicated. If your main is Ohmy, then you roll main spec when you play Ohmy. If the raid leader asks you to bring Angelic instead, you get to roll respec for healing gear, offspec for DPS gear.

Zooggy thats wrong. If the raid leader asks you to bring another character to make the raid work you get full mainspec rols on your mainspec. If you ask to bring another char and the raid leader agress you get re-spec on the mainspec gear.

Actually, from the Raid Loot Rules sticky... Zooggy got it right

The order of who is allowed to roll:

1) On-spec - this is your stated spec. Healing gear for healers, tanking gear for tanks, relevant DPS gear for DPSers. Nice and simple. You can't change your spec at the drop of a hat, you must talk to the Officers for this (note that we won't allow spec-hopping for gear's sake. Doing so may cause suspension of loot rights)
2) Re-spec - a spec that is NOT your stated spec, but that you're using in that given raid having had to respec to make that raid work. This also applies if you've had to bring an alt along to make the raid work (eg you bring a healer/tank alt instead of a DPS main)
3) Off-spec -for a spec other than your stated spec, like healers going for DPS gear. Also, if you bring an alt to a raid, typically they will count all rolls as off-spec.
4) PvP gear - either items that you intend to use just for PvP, or tokens to be traded in for PvP gear instead of PvE

All i can say is GL with that angelic. unfortunately im in near enough the same situation with peterson being my tank and being needed most often, so im unable to bring woogle to raids and it will be unlikely that i can for ages.

Same thing happened to me at lv 70 with my paladin healer being needed so much that bringing my hunter to almost any raid was near impossible.

Its nice to know your still happy to bring angelic as your needed, im the same with my tank, but i am just giving a heads up that it may be unlikely that you can get a spot on Ohmy.

As for the whole looting thing as mentioned already above you have full rights on your "main character" to roll main spec and on any character you were asked to bring to make a raid viable. How every you count as "re-spec" if its an alt you bring another character that isnt your main by your own decision
