It's pretty much here people and it really does look as good as the rumour mill said it was going to be.

there's one

here's another

And just one more for you

It's cheaper than a 8800GTS and outperforms. Nvidia really have done one hell of a job on this one. You can get nvidia reference cards for it looks to be as little as £170 and considering this craps all over the £200 GTS this is a stunning Mid-range gamer card. So ATI release the 2900 and as it just wasn't up to it they plug the mid range market and Nvidia release this. All i can say is hahaha to any remaining ATI fanboys tbh.

errr well the best GTS is £280 and has mem speeds of 1800M and 550M and the lowest spec GT is £175 and has clocks of 1800M and 600M sooooo do you mind if i disagree.

An interesting release from nvidia, in comparing my GTS with the best GT available on

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/produ...01&catid=56&sortby=priceAsc&subid=1008&mfrid=

The comparison is

_________________My GTS_________Best GT

Stream Processors __96_____________112
GPU______________575Mhz_________650MHz
Memory___________1700Mhz________1900Mhz
Memory___________64GB/s_________57.6GB/s
Memory___________320 bit_________256 bit
Memory___________320 Mb_________512 Mb

The difference isn't that great and my GTS is still better in memory bandwidth and memory bus rate. I paid £211 for my GTS 3 months ago and you can pre-order the new best GT for £193.

One of the benchmarks on your links waterproofbob show a performance difference of around 25% but they were comparing a GTS GPU of 500Mhz with a 600Mhz on the GT.

I think if they compared a GTS superclocked by manufacturer (as I have) to the best GT, I do believe the performance percentage difference would drop to the mid teens and therefore not anything worth writing home about.

Whilst the GT would be the obvious choice for a gamer now it is not a significant step forward from a good GTS.
