Oldschool raiding

Right. Created this thread to find out how many of you would be interested in doing oldschool fun raids like Ahn'Quiraj and Zul'Gurub. This could be a fun experience for all.
So.

In my humble opinion, we should spend the time we have on progressing really. With wotlk drawing near (maybe?) I'd like to get thru more of SSC/MH before they become oldschool too. Atleast that's the way I feel.

I know, but the oldschool stuff will stay oldschool after wotlk, if not even become even more so. And I think it would be more fun to do the "current school" raids before it's too late.

I personally dont mind the idea aslong as it doesnt interfere with our regular raids in anyway.

as for me attending one its doubtful, to me doing those raids feels like abit of a waste of time, there is not much sence of acomplishment from clearing the raids.

personally id prefer to spend my time doing more heroics

As far as I'm concerned, those old instances or atleast MC, BWL and AQ are the best instances in the game, though ZG has its moments, its not brilliant, and AQ20 was quite entertaining.

With one possible, exception, which is Naxx.

There's a lot of rumors about what will happen to the original Naxx once WotLK hits. I want to not take any chances and do it before it all goes away.

Also, I'm attuned to Onyxia, now, so, Fae, whenever you want to start looking into that as well, I'm on board to help.

I can tell you exactly what's happening to old Naxx. It's gone. Since one of the earliest beta builds, it's been removed from the Eastern Plaguelands. Blizz Devs confirmed this over half a year ago, and I confirmed it visually the other day.

Old Naxx as we know it will cease to exist entirely.

As a small aside; I'm attuned to Molten Core, Onyxia's Lair and Blackwing Lair on Lithy, and would quite like to do the latter up to the Broodlord at some point.

Yeah, Naxx in Eastern Plaguelands will be removed, and brought back into the game harder so I beleive. Mostly because most people didn't have enough time to get anywhere in there. I personally saw my way through 6 of the bosses in 3 wings before leaving that guild and going back to a guild like yourselves

The way Naxx will work is that it's actually progressing story-wise; Naxx WAS successfully raided by adventurers working with the Argent Dawn, but Kel'thuuzad's phylactery wasn't destroyed, and thus he was reborn (a Lich is immortal in all ways unless the phylactery is destroyed). And apparently many of the bosses will be revived by Arthas, but maybe not all. Naxx moves to Northrend to deal with the shift of the Alliance, Horde and Argent Crusade to there, and thus we essentially have Naxx 2, rather than just a level 80 10/25 man version of old-school Naxx. Stuff will be different, although we have yet to see how different.

It would be fun and I would love to see those places, but I really don't have that much time and what I have would be better spent on progression.

If it happens, however, and at that very moment I'm free, I'll probably feel like it and gladly come.

I have some experience in pre BC raiding and wouldnt mind. But I am with Klown I would like to experience more progression raids while they are still challenging. But i wouldn't mind mayb a fun event to one of these "oldskool" raids

Like I said earlier. This will not interferre with our progression raids. It will not be at the same time as those raids. This I can guarantee. At the moment this is -only-to check on how many would be interested in a fun raid, doing oldschool stuff at some point in the hopefully not too distant future.
