me and my housemates where thinking exactly this last week. Time hath flown and we once again have the Christmas hell to get through before the country puts away it's silly lights and goes back to being bummed by the wave of melancholy that is always abundant in the UK.

It's almost time for bob to be confused by it being 2008 and me still writing 2007 ( yes I still do that). This year really has flown right by. This time last year i was a confused Electronics student, now I'm a slightly less confused maths student.

I get worried at how fast weeks go by. Im sure it wasnt long ago i was going " oh poo, its a sunday, got uni tomorrow" and now its a saturday again.

worryingly, only 10 more working days until holidays, and less than 4 weeks til xmas!

and it gets all too dark too quickly.

Yeah, I spent three months out of the country this year and it's really affected how I think about the year - the time I spent away totally flew past and I came back at the tail end of summer. Even then there was still good weather (which is confusing in itself) but to be honest I've been so busy with work that aside from my three week holiday at the beginning of november I've not even noticed how quickly time has shot past.

Depressing or what...

On the bright side I finally get to pick up my new car this morning :)

I like how the fall semester ends in january. That means I can use the christmas holidays to study/worry about studying. Woot. Also, I like how I have to do a shift in the emergency ward on the 23rd (we celebrate on christmas eve, not christmas day). Hurray.

On the other hand, yay for christmas! :D

my years gone slowly, so i dont know what you lot are on about. i can't remember one day this year that has gone by quickly, its simply impossible when teachers are ranting at you all day long they! in other news, the queen came down to MK this week ;) took off from the school field heh.

Hmm,
Interesting thoughts.

Personally i'm not too worried about the christmas rug yet, just worried, as wol said, that we only have 10 working days left till uni break up, so little time, so much todo :S

There is evidence to suggest that the older you get the quicker time appears to pass.

I think it's to do with the fraction of your life lived in any year. For example a 10 year old will have just experienced 1/10 of their life.

A 20 year old will have just experienced 1/20 of their life, and so on.

The smaller the fraction is the shorter the year is percieved by the person.

That is so true..... when you are at school a year seems ages. But when you are working it flys by.
