I would just like to point out that maps look better when they've been finished with lightmaps and envmaps, so don't be put off by the images posted here .

Operation_Black_Box

Story:

An F-15 recon jet has been shot down over a border post at China. The plane was spying on Chinese troop movements and planned to send the intel back to USMC HQ located nearby in allied Russia. The jet never managed to send back the information regarding troop movements, so USMC has assembled the finest team to get in and retrieve the black box. You are part of that team. Unfortunately, the black hawk was shot down. This means no in and out, so you will have to take the fort and hold it until there are no Chinese reinforcements left.

Looks good but I have a couple of comments

1. Why do you have a Chinese heavy jeep at the USMC spawn?
2. The Chinese MG nest seems to be overlooking the USMC spawn which could lead to a bit of spawncamping (not that any THN'er would do that )
3. You say the recon jet was an F15, but the crashed plane doesn't look to be an F15.
4. I assume the yellow lines are just there as part of the map-creation process and won't be in the final version?

Other than that it looks excellent. The background story is also very well put together.

BTW is that ferna placed object or is it undergrowth? If it's undergrowth how did you make it come in with the correct texture cause mines having problems?

In answer to your questions:
1) It's not actually a Chinese Jeep. It just tells you a Heavy Jeep spawns at that point.
2) I've fixed this by putting numerous, dense bamboo in the way.
3) It is an F-15
4) You assume correct

I will post up a couple more of the latest screens ASAP

i dont think you can get ferns as statics, just keep piddling about in overgrowth till you find it (most of the good plants are in overgrowth)

Align the sandbags mate, i know its a bastard, but when i tested mine it turned out you can crawl thru em, even worse, you can crawl underneith and then stand up. also put SB ends on them otherwise you will be able to climb inside

If you double click whilst using the move tool you can place and rotate using an x,y,z coordinate system.
