For those of you who dont already know, my druid recently hit 70.
Ive been dithering with specs. I couldnt decide wether to be a healer or tank, i had a similar problem on the paladin.

But, theres been an idea bouncing around inside my banker skull ever since i read a forum post. That idea is that of a tanking moonkin , known as a panzerkin

Im not going to go into a debate here. As although i know people have their reservations, i know that the haven wil , as always , give a chance to people trying something new.

I will , of course, answer any questions on how they work.


By the way. the highest raid level recorded boss kill with a Boomkin tank is Rage Winterchill in Hyjal.

Boomkins have only one issue, which is raid awareness of aggro generation, since they lack a dedicated snap-aggro ability. Other than that, they can tank perfectly once you get a neat kit for them. Tried that on my very first druid. The one point where I found it lacking (Nathanial is quite a bit more proficient at Panzerkin tanking than myself and he is quite careful regarding that as well) is AoE tanking, although, once again, raid awareness helps it no end.

Unfortunately, I predict the Panzerkin days to be at an end once WotLK hits the shelves, due to the removal of bonus armor from itemization.

Having considered the time i have left , i have decided to take my druid bear tank and take any panzahkin gear i can get my grubby little mits on.
