Phone trouble

Background info to start with: the files i'm trying to get it to play are mpegs and avi format. its a SonyEricsson K550i.

OK, i'm trying to get my phone to play videos. They transfer from computer to phone fine, but then when I go to play them the phone doesn't give me that option. No error message, its just that the 'play' button is replaced by a 'send' button.

Anyone got any ideas? Rep for whoever solves my problem!

there is also a website that I have used a couple of times recently called www.media-convert.com which is an online converter, which means one file at a time and also extra time needed to upload the original file and then download the new format one, but if the files arent too big I've found it pretty good.

From this review, I think the K550i records video in the QCIF with flash. This means I have no idea where the Xilisoft 3gp converter I pointed you at in the shoutbox will work or not, but you might want to give it a go still.
