Right, so I'm normally one of the lurkiest people on any board, but I wanted to give a heads up about the Kickstarter for Planetary Annihilation. If you've not seen it, it's basically Total Annihilation/Supreme Commander meets multiple-worlds-at-a-time scale.
People here may be backers already, they may not, but it's on it's last few days and has steadily marched from it's initial $900,000 goal for making the basic game up to $1,500,000, which has added three nice stretch goals for more planet/unit types. If they can hit $1,800,000 they'll be adding an over-arching 'galactic war' option to provide a huge campaign option.
I'm already in on this up to my current financial limit because they honestly seem to be fully on-board to create what could well be a large-scale RTS masterwork. If anyone here likes RTS games - like TA/SupCom - and hasn't taken a look, do so. If you like what you see, throw some cash at it if you can - $20 gets a digital copy of the game when it's built, and that's now a given.
Anyway, I hate advertising, and my feeling of brotherhood with this development house is now satisfied... so please continue with your regular HavenNet reading.
