PMs, multiple recipients and Reply To All

Hoy, :)

So, I sent a PM to three different people and was expecting a reply from everyone. I asked them to use Reply To All.

As it turns out, it was a silly request, as the forum doesn't show you the other recipients of the message...

Is this by design? Can it be changed? Is there an option for the message sender to show the recipient list?

Cheers,
J.

Well... not by our design, certainly. There are some areas of vB that really don't feel like they've had a lot of thought, and PMs is one of them. Even the "Reply to All" feature would be an add-on.

However, it's an add-on I know exists and I'd be fine including. I may need poking to remind me to do it, however, as I'm fairly busy at the moment.

Just to note: reply to all isn't in, but I'm 99% sure you can see all the people who received a PM unless the author BCC'd them.

Yeah. If it's a multi-receipt PM you can see all recepients, but you need to write their names in manually. You can't do a direct cut-and-paste either because the name delimiter in is a semi-colon but is then printed back as a comma.

Done.

Added two features:

  1. In a multi-recepient PM, you could always seem the list of recepients (unless BCCed). Now there's a "Reply to All" link added after their names, which does what it says on the tin. Note that quick replies still only reply to a single person.
  2. The "Notifications" bit blinks red to warn you there's a PM you should have read. To clear it, read your PMs. Easy really.

Oh, Ronin FYI (not that I'm complaining as it's easier for me not blinking :p)

In Chromium / Chrome (depending on your OS) it doesn't blin, it's just highlighted red when there are unread mails :)
