[PR] Server Admin mods

As I'm scrabbling around trying to find mods for our PR server to help out with admining and such I figured I'd post a thread that served two main purposes. First, to point out what I'm looking at. Second, to request help from you guys for those things I've not found yet.

Under Investigation:

Need Help Finding:

  • Swap sides each round -- each new round, teams are reversed so we can play two rounds on each map, one each way.

Other Articles of Use:

  • Taking PB Screenshots in PR -- haven't got this figured out yet as the config file that's supposed to exist doesn't... maybe I've got an out of date version of PB?

... work in progress...

There is (if you haven't found it yet) a lovely wiki about ModManager, which tells you all the default modules it has, and how to use them. It also talks about a module called ClanMatch (mm_clanmatch) which has a roundSwitch option. This is what you need to swap sides each round.

I haven't found a separate download for it, so it might come with modManager, maybe? I'll download it and have a look see!

Also, Mono seems to be what everyone is using, so is there a reason for not getting it? Like, does it conflict with something on the server? Just curious, not bitching :)

There is also a list of rcon features I found in my search. It mentions a bug in Linux that causes rcon to crash. While this doesn't affect the game, it requires a server restart to get rcon back up. Just so you know!

I've installed ModManager v1.6. Unfortunately the web-documentation appears to be out of step with the release but it's certainly an excellent start. Thanks elD! :)

Right, I think that the install of ModManager should now be rotating teams after the end of each round. Let me know if that is working as intended.

Turns out that Promethius already has Mono installed so that'll make that easy. Serenity didn't have it, perhaps because it was an unstable release back then.
