Project Reality 0.8

[Ronin Storm]

Project Reality 0.8 has been released as of a few days ago.

It's a pretty substantial update, including new weapons, vehicles, maps, game modes, deployables, animations... the works. Too much to list here. Go read their release post for the full information.

Just like usual, downloads available from all over but be sure to get both the core files and the level packs. Total size around 2.5GB!

I've had a play this evening. Early on I experienced a server crash, just like I remember... but when that server came back up it played well and a lot of the lag I remember seems to have gone.

The game is as brutal as ever and totally newbie unfriendly but I found a good squad easily and had a really good game this evening.

Alot of the iGi people play this competitively and they have one of the best PR servers around.

If I had bf2 still I may have tried this out

There is a substantial amount of people. They're just not THNers.

Can this be patched over previous PR releases? At 30kbps it could take me a while.

There's no patch that I've seen. In fact, they strongly recommend uninstalling previous versions before installing this one.
