Promethius downtime until thursday evening

Quick heads up:

Promethius died during OS updates this morning. Vibs is away until Thursday PM so the server will have to stay down until then.

Since minecraft is currently hosted on Prom this means the minecraft server is down until then as well.

To add to that, I just updated the server to the recommended build for 1.0.1 for bukkit, so in theory when it comes back up itll be on that. Dont think theres much diff between when vibs updated it a few days ago, so should still be working all happy-like.

Was halfway through working on fixing the CraftIRC link issue, so I think I know a fix to get around that.

ok so its been along time since iv herd anything so I thought I would just ask. What is going on with the promethius server? Is it sill down?

Vibs is away skiing as far as i know, i think last i heard him and Haven speak about it they were talking about looking at Prom in early Jan

Server was brought back online but obviously is a bit sick and didn't stay that way for long Sadly only Vibs has physical access to the machine. I believe it may need a new northbridge cooler before we can make it stable again.

Downtime is something we want to avoid but its an old box at the end of its usable life so unfortunately these things happen.

Will update once I get chance to chat with Vibs, got family over this week so not much online time until the new year for me.

We do have a shiny multiplay mc server to play with, but this only appeared after prom went down, so i don't have access to the files to clone the config. Sad times.

Once prom resurfaces, ill see if I can get those off as we've had so many problems so far its like flogging a dead horse!
