OK,

so I stick my PSU in and start routing cables to find that my 4+4 12V ATX cable doesnt reach to my motherboard when its routed from the back through a little hole at the top. Should i just go ahead with plugging it in without cable managing or buy one of these and get the power from a molex connector and i guess tidy the original cable away.

Only you can answer that question matey - how OCD are you when it comes to cable management?

id like to try and keep everything behind the mobo tray but i was just wondering if there were issues with molex -> 8-pin 12v converters. Plus i dont even think it will fit the normal way over the graphics card when it is in (installed the PSU but nothing else so far since ebuyer pooped my order up )

i'm guessing PSU is at the bottom of the case then? if so my 12v is routed behind the GPU, i'll open my case up later and get a shot for you if you like

Yeah the PSU is on the bottom and has a little access hole at the top so you can put the 12v connector behind the mobo tray. Problem is it barely makes it out of that hole and even if i did manage to plug it in it would be extremely tight and probably end up cracking or bending the motherboard.

Mine too goes under the GPU, makes me wanna cry but I just weep.

Its become a bit of a moot point, wanted to build it today but my after market cpu cooler still hasnt arrived and i think putting the stock one on for a couple of days is a bit obsessive. Shall have time to visit the wonderful world of Maplin in the mean time Ty all!
