FFIX saw the Final Fantasy series return to its roots, choosing to differ from the futuristic approach of its two PS1 predecessors and reintroducing older concepts like 4-person parties, a quaint medieval theme, wooden airships and hunnerds o' moogles!

No, it's PS3, but (like FFVII and VIII) I think you can play them on your PSP as well if you happen to own one. Anyone? Anyone???

Yes, you buy it on your PS3, and you can transfer it to your PSP if you want, but you can play it on either; assuming it's the same as all other PSN PS1 games.

Important announcement! Final Fantasy IX is NOW available on the PSN store! For the princely sum of £7.99, you too could own the "greatest game ever created by man or beast!" (Captain Crumb's Gaming Supplement, May Edition).

But Future Cop LAPD is already on the PSN, and THAT is the greatest game. o.o

Na, it's just a straight port of the PS1 game. Pretty much just the old game emulated, you even have to 'change discs' and everything! Upgrading it to HD would have been nice, but even in its original form it still beats everything out there.

It's the PAL version available on the European PSN store, which means it runs about 18% slower than its NTSC counterpart (due to 50Hz vs. 60Hz). If that means a lot to you then I'd wait for the US release before biting.
