1) remember that it says "at this time." There will be future slots out there that we may be able to get into!

Not wishing to rain on anyones parade or anything, but don't forget that beta testing is not about fun, it's about testing an unfinished product to assist in finding errors and bugs.

After testing Uplink, Darwinia, and Defcon, I still play all 3 to this day, and absolutely love them! I can understand that having to play a game might take some of the fun out, but for me, knowing I'm helping make a game better makes that ok for me. Which in turn makes the game enjoyable again.

Still, I can't imagine how annoying it must be when you clan tested 2142, and EA pretty much ignored you all (from what I hear)

Being one of the testers of 2142 was the reason I posted the comment I did. It's slightly unfair to say EA didn't listen to us, as I gave them a list of bugs which covered 2 whole A4 pages, and the majority were fixed. The problem is they introduced some new ones when they fixed those

The second round of beta testing is now open for Quake Wars. It seems to be a Fileplanet exclusive but for those of you who are members (me ) then you can head over, grab the client and start playing.

Looking pretty smooth so far.
