Quick Reply

I don t know if this is possible, or if it already exists and I havn't noticed.. But

I use the quick reply quite alot, however if there are alot of posts on the page and you want to reply to the first it's a pain to have to scroll back to the top just to hit the quick reply button. I appreciate there is the reply to first/last full edit options. But is there no way to make have the same thing for quick reply. Or perhaps have the quick reply load up already linked to the first post?

you could maybe have a checkbox on/near the quick reply box that selects reply to first/last?

Or perhaps a move to Top/Bottom button on each post that would take you to the top/bottom of the current page, where the reply to first/last buttons are located.

What template do you use? (e.g. Blue2 (Fixed))

What reading mode? (e.g. Threaded)

While not "quick reply", per se, you may find the "Reply to First" button suits your needs. That will reply to the first post in the thread, although not the first post on the current page, which may be what you meant.

Otherwise, I suggest trying out Threaded mode as replying to specific posts blends best with that reading style.

Enabling quick reply for the first post on this page or in this thread is otherwise pretty low on my development priorities, at the moment.

You can use the home and end keys to go to the top and bottom of the page instantly
