As some of you know or will learn sometime soon, my account was hacked. This is despite the fact that I have not touched my WoW account for over 3 months. They cleaned me out of my raiding gear, my gold and the stuff I was gathering for The Insane title.

After a chat with the GM I regained all the stuff that was lost and, after selling the haul those hackers had gathered during their hack, gained 200 gold and with it a free month of WoW time (since the hackers ended up paying for the month). So I will be temporarily returning to WoW, might as well use the free month whilst I can.

They may have done this as a late response to your hack, especially if you've been hopping characters a lot.
May also be you've been hacked again. Or maybe Blizz have seen it wasn't you who paid for the month and have de-activated you again.
Anyhows, I suggest you get an authenticator - either for your phone if it's a smartphone or keyring-type if not. I actually woke up on the day I got hacked thinking I should get one on my phone but it was too late. Got one now, though, obviously.

When I get back onto WoW, very likely a week or two before Cata, then maybe, but until then I still have little interest or reason to return to WoW at this stage.

If you have an Android device the app is free. It's the only reason I bothered with the authenticator. Best to make the account safe just in case you ever do want to come back - can't argue with free.

Not a clue, I hadn't planned on getting an authenticator until I stumbled across the free one on the Android market
