[Rejected] [Teamspeak] CA's And Codecs

Channel admins(CA) cannot edit codec, even though there are only 3 avaliable anyway, 12,16 & 19 - Since Unregistered channels(U) can have any of the 3 may i ask why the CA's in the registered channels cannot change the 12's to at least 16? Or may i request a minimum of 16.

And no one tell me you cant tell the difference!

Hmm, I don't appear to be able to change that setting either...

Can another TS Admin advise, please?

I can edit the codecs fine, both registered and unregistered channels. You have to make sure the channels are empty to do it though Is that your problem? I'm guessing that the codec is sent as part of the channel joining, so changing it would cause people to have to rejoin the channel.

Otherwise, I'M A SUPER ADMIN OF DOOM! FEAR ME!

Beg pardon, I can edit codecs, I can't edit the permissions to allow editing of codecs.

The codec has been fine for the last four years, I see no reason to change it ... at the time we did a lot of sound tests (I personally did them) and 12kbs gives very very good sound quality, if you are having sound quality issues then it could be system related, I can certainly hear everyone flawlessly on teamspeak with my setup.

I'll need a lot of persuading to alter it. Until then consider this request refused.

somtimes to well! you hear things u dont want to!

Its not as if were on the backp server even! it should be the best it can be and no one else seem to be having problems! I have been in there loads lately!

Maybe u are hearing in game speak. This is definetly lower quality and with all the BOOM BOOM in the background im suprised u noticed!

No problem i was more curious to why, than actually having a problem myself.
I dont actually have a problem with 12 although i can tell the difference as everyone should between 12 and 16.

Also fyi, not that its my bussiness or anything but i noticed the Zeitgeist channels have dissappeared, i dont know what that is but just thought i'll point out they're still on the bkup server
