[Resolved] our bf2142 server...

I just tried joining it to see if it was working.

It still does not show up in the 2142 server browser as a valid 2142 server. Trying to join it from the server browser (after adding it to your favourites) returns the message "The server generated an error."

If I try to join with the IP/port directly, It asks me for the password which I type in (and, incidentally, I think should be changed). It then sits on the loading screen and makes absolutely no progress on loading the map whatsoever (the loading bar does not show any progress). I left it for about 1 minute before leaving it.

Just to make sure I picked a random server from the server browser and that worked fine.

Ok, since today, the problems stated before have come back.

People don't fall over when dead, some guns don't work and some people are unable to go prone, or stand up once prone.

( not sure as to why this has happened, possibly something with the TF2 server thats been played with recently ?)

Me and Trax did a quick test earlier with a load of bots and all seemed well. Was jumpy at first for me, but thats probably this old machine being crap *kicks computer*

Given that all I did to the server was restart it, I suggest that the server is restarted before any clan matches on it to ensure that it's all running fine. Maybe there's something weird with the linux distro of BF2142...?

I have a feeling it was something to do with disabling some of the auto kick options from my client

I'll poke at that again, and if the same happens, Can I get you to disable them for me Ronin ?
