Returning to BF2!

Having been royally seduced by shiny M16's in COD:4 I decided I really wanted to play around with BF2 again!

Anyhoo, so downloading the patches, and I'll probably need to restore T.S to some kind of working functionality, and then there's the minor issue of A2 exams finishing on the 19th, but other than all that rubbish!

Who's up for a retro-return to the BF2 hayday of 2005/6 ?

I notice some of the old crew playing BF2, from time to time, on Xfire. That's probably a good point of call.

Lots of people have exams and other stuff kicking off just now. Expecting that to quieten down for July, though. In parallel to your thoughts, there's some talk of picking up Project Reality again and we'll probably be taking a look at Insurgency (HL2 mod) when that's released later this month / early next; the latter may be a good choice for getting smaller numbers of us involved in games designed for that number of players.

Either way, welcome back. As always, I suggest throwing a few events at the calendar but don't be downhearted if it's quiet through June... it always is.

Yeah, as Ronin says, Calendar is a good idea to re-boot interest. I'm up for it, finished my part time degree course now.

Put an event up and I will be there. I have been playing a bit more recently, although its usually only when the WoW servers crash.

But I don't play BF2 anymore. I was on it last night, and it just irrated me, all the TK'ing and message spamming and glitching and bunnyhopping and instapunishers...

I'll be sticking to PR, I think. Wish I enjoyed vBF2, it's not a bad game, it just has nothing on PR. Oh well, have fun on it
