From The Register:

The Register said:
Rock Group PLC is in the hands of administrators who are trying to sell the UK notebook maker as a going concern.

The Warwick-based firm said yesterday that it had effectively ceased trading prior to the appointment of administrators, Dominic Wong and David Langton, of Deloitte & Touche LLP.

Rock Group, which has been in business for some 16 years, said it hit the buffers partly because of “cash flow difficulties faced as a result of stock misappropriation by a former employee”.

Damn. If I were buying a laptop, they were my first choice. :(

That leaves Dell and Alienware (owned by Dell) in the silly high end gaming laptop arena then :(

Be wary of them now though, If it ends up a repeat performance of TINY, things will get ugly real quick :(

Yeah, Dell was the other option, in either their XPS or their Alienware guise.

I believe HP's Pavilion might also do the job but I've never taken HP hardware very seriously.
