I just got home with this, a vintage valve amplifier for 55 eurobucks. It's worth much more than that, and it sounds so awesome, and it has knobs, and it's shiny. Fucking yes!

Actually, it isn't a valve amplifier, but has a valve sound.

One is going on ebay for more than double what i paid for mine so i'm still happy.

Ooh! Ive got one of them in my loft! It looks exactly the same as yours, except it has an analogue (needle) power/sound output meter in watts and decibels - retro styling! I always thought it would be cack, but since youve mentioned it I might crack it out for a shot with my hi-fi. Ill try and get a photo when I get home!

I went up into my loft at last, and it's actually this Hitachi bad boy I have:

Its in a bit of a sorry state just now, the whole front control panel is detached from the case, and its a bit dusty
