Savage 2, anyone?

I rather liked the original savage, if nothing else it's a bit like ns...

So, now savage 2 is free (although I guess with maybe some few limitations if you don't pay?). so I thought I'd try it out. Maybe it's fun, maybe not, but we'll never know until we've tried it . 75 on metacritic. Who's interested? I've got time tonight, I think. Or some other night.

I won't be joining you, though I might kick one classmate of mine that like the original to it. I just found it terribly frustrating and confusing. I didn't stand a chance fighting at all.

I've tried it a bit now, and yes, the melee combat does take a while to get used to - I certainly haven't, yet. The rest of it, though, isn't that hard to grasp. Start off as a builder and help out like that, go healer after a while if needed, and save up for the big siege push, and you won't see much melee at all and it's a good way to get a grasp of the game in general.

That said, it seems to me this game could be very fun indeed if you were a part of a team, playing with ts on and doing the whole strat thing a little bit more seriously. Playing pubs is more of a gamble, it mostly depends on whether the com's any good.

Especially the Balance is pretty good IMO but I suck at melee combat ^^

Does having the non-upgraded version give you a disadvantage in anyway or do you just have to watch some adverts? I can't find anything on their site. :/

The Non-Upgraded Version declines you to observe the players stats, so how often a player died in his whole savage playing campaign etc (although you can still view the statistics for the current game, so its nothign special)

The only real disadvantage is that you can only carry 4 instead of 6 items (eg only 4 instead of 6 health pots) which, in my case, is acceptable (I never use items anyway xD) my ingame name is "Skyhigh" maybe anyone playing can add me to his fl so we can have some fun together
